Apologies for the lateness of today’s installment of the Soccer Unites Utah memorabilia auction – Day #5 to be exact – but we figure it’s better late than never, especially when a good cause is involved. Plus, we know today’s jerseys are worth the wait, especially to those that are fans of the MLS Eastern Conference, World Cup winners, consistency, or all of the above, as this evening’s auctions feature game-worn kits from Youri Djorkaeff and Steve Ralston. Take the jump for links to today’s new auctions and the eight ongoing ones, which have already garnered close to $800 in bids (and growing!). A couple of notes before we get to the daily rundown…

The Clint Mathis MetroStars jersey that went up on Tuesday? Well, you can now make that an AUTOGRAPHED Clint Mathis MetroStars jersey… thanks to “Cleetus” for signing at yesterday’s practice in Park City!
We’re getting down to the nitty-gritty on the game-worn jerseys from last Wednesday’s USA-Mexico clash, and while the Brad Guzan U.S. MNT-autographed top is rising like the first few seconds of a roller coaster, the Giovani dos Santos one remains stagnant at $76.00. Help us spread the word on this pretty darn special “El Tri” top in these last few days… we think this has the potential to be one of the higher priced pieces in the auction and are hoping that it becomes a late bloomer!
Starting today we’re gonna go Jerry Lewis Telethon style and keep a running tally – to the penny – as to where the collective bids stand. As of Thursday at 8:00 p.m. MT, through four days a total of $777.28 has been bid on seven auctions (still no bids on the Cobi Jones warm-up top just yet). Is it a coincidence that Andy wears #77, and that his #7 New England Revs jersey will be up for bidding later in the auction? Well, probably, but it’s pretty neat to point out!
