Midfielder Jean Alexandre will have an excused absence from his RSL teammates for a second straight weekend, as it was announced this morning that the rookie will serve a brief loan stint with the USL First Division’s Austin Aztex… you remember, the same Aztex that came to Rio Tinto Stadium in March to finish off RSL’s preseason. Alexandre will report to The Lone Star State and the Aztex (1-2-3, 6 pts.) camp today in preparation for their contest against the Puerto Rico Islanders (2-2-3, 9 pts.) on Friday night at Nelson Field in Austin. Kickoff for tomorrow night’s match is at 6:30 p.m. MT, and you can head to Austin’s flagship radio network, AM 1300 The Zone, to listen in live (and the match conveniently ends just as the RSL-’Quakes game begins!).

The 22-year-old Alexandre will be making his second trip away from RSL in as many weeks, as the Lynn University product made a homecoming to south Florida last Saturday to represent the Haitian National Team in an international friendly against Jamaica. In that game, Alexandre came off the bench in the second half to put in 25 minutes for “les Grenadiers” in their 2-2 draw with the “Reggae Boyz.”
