Update from Madrid (Final): RSL 1 – 1 Paritzan Belgrado
We’ve got an update from our source on the scene with the RSL Under-18 Team at the Comunidad de Madrid / Club U-18 World Cup in Spain, and the early return is pretty good – game one in Group D play for RSL against Serbia’s Partizan Belgrado will go into the books as a 1-1 draw. In the match, played at the Estadio Municipal Santo Domingo in Alcorcon, the MLS side used a goal by Nick Marshall off a Danny Toia corner kick to earn the point against last year’s third-place finisher and the FIFA #2-ranked youth program in Europe. More details will come shortly, but our congratulations on a very encouraging start for the lads from the States!

Wow, great job by the lads!
I hope you can post the line-ups!
Very impressive as Partizan Belgrado dismantled DC United last year 8-0. Way to go RSL!
can we just sign these kids to play for us now please? They went to spain and got a goal on their first game… it took us how many to get one in the states?
Nice work guys.
I hope you guys win the next two.
Good luck.
Anyway we can get some video footage of these games?
Wow, very impressive.
I think I may start following the U-18s over our first squad.
I might do the same. These kids know how to score on the road!!!!
Awesome! Great job guys, keep up the good work
Yea we want the starting line up and play by plays of what happens down there. This is a big deal and we want to know whos playing and doing well. HaHa great job boys!! Way to represent!!!(:(:
Can’t wait until RSLFO signs and trades off one of these promising players (Rogers) for a 2nd rounder. Bullocks!!!!
if these kids are in fact as good as they played this game, and continue to play this way through the rest of the tournament, dont expect any of the m to be RSL players. They will be playing over the pond, this is pretty much them auditioning for that right now.
Congratulations kids, you dont understand how awesome of an opportunity this is for you. Many of the previous players in this state are more than jealous of the doors being opened to you. Take advantage of them, and again, congratulations!
FORZA RSL!!!
I have been trying to follow every bit of written news of what’s happening down there, and would really love to see some video. Is there any being sent, and if not, can we get some?
