Ridiculous that the Media gets the same amount of pull as the fans. I think that the RSL fans were screwed in this. If you look at the numbers, LAME. Also, not to have one RSL bloke on the team. At a minimum, Rimando or Cleetus should have been an alternate. Disappointed and disgusted with the system. I wouldn’t bee surprised if our GM didn’t even support our squad because lately it appears he is missing chromosomes.
Forever RSL.
Franchino
Everyone needs to relax on the All Star announcement. This is just the first 11. There are 2 commissioner picks and 5 players picked by coach Kinnear. There will be 1 RSL guy in that group.
Franco,
So you would rather the entire roster be players from Seattle Sounders FC? Since almost their entire roster dominated the fan vote, given that they have 30,000 a match. No RSL player would have cracked the top 20 if it was just fan vote.
Why would Media, Players or Coaches/GM’s vote for many RSL players given our 6th place standing?
Sorry the lineup is damm near rock solid, my only question mark is Geoff Cameron of Houston but everyone else is a quality player.
I would love them to release the votes of the players, Coaches/GM’s and Media but if you really want to know how the media vote is likely to go you only have to look at the player of the week and month voting (http://www.soccerreporters.com/)
Really what has Garth done that would indicate as you say “he is missing chromosomes”?
I didn’t say all media. I said its ridiculous that the media gets the same pull as the Fans. Typical Denz, assuming something is said that isn’t. Basically, I think that the starting 11 doesn’t look good and will get roughed up by Everton. Look at Conor. The guy definetely not deserving of starting 11. Then there is DeRosario, bunk. My starting 11 would have been:
Keller
Marshall,Hedjuk, Wynne
Schelotto, Holden, Mathis, Clark, Van Den Bergh,
Montero, Cooper
I dislike Van Den Bergh, but his impact has been amazing for Dallas. Mathis, not because he is on RSL, but because he has honestly keep our team a float, despite mediocre play from our super mids. Bash if you want, but it’s my opinion.
BOYCOTT THIS GAME!!! RSL FOREVER!!!
No All Star should have two starters from the 3rd worst team in the league. Just my opinion.
You guys cry 24/7 — once again, it’s not the STARTING 11…it’s the FIRST 11 — they will add an RSL player next week - stop crying — besides, ya’ll dont show up anyway - so whats to boycott — i’m traveling in to see quality soccer and root for Everton anyway — game means squat - can ya’ll ever just enjoy an event and stop bitchin - wow - this is the one and only time you’ll get the All-Star game - enjoy the event for god sake
Phil
Stop Bitchin would ya!!!
It’s kinda funny they make such a big deal about the first 11, and the remaining 7 or so get almost no press. There are a lot of players who would be deserving of an all-star appearance so even if the first 11 don’t match my picks exactly, I have no problem with them. I’m just way excited we’ve got the All-Star game here at Rio Tinto!!
And did any of you catch Jason Kreis on KALL 700 the other night? Both he and Bill Riley picked Geoff Cameron to be on the all-star team.
And Franco’s spot on about Mathis.
LOL — you got it Franco! My bet is two RSL boys make the squad — and everyone is happy!
