Caught up in the hustle and bustle of last week we neglected to point out Nick Rimando’s nomination for MLS Save of the Week for his penalty kick stop on Jeff Cunningham against FC Dallas on 7/24 (pictured above). The nomination was the first such nod for an RSL goalkeeper (as the Save of the Week award was launched mid-season this year). Well, apparently he didn’t even need our help in pushing his vote, as he easily won the prize last week.
Congrats Nick. That save more than deserved the plaudits…
