We’re off to…
… Chicago! The New England Revolution and Chicago Fire did battle in the Windy City this evening and, despite facing a 1-goal deficit from the first leg, booked their spot in the Eastern Conference Final with a 2-0 victory.
The hero on the night for the Fire was Cuauhtémoc Blanco as the Mexican star took a feed from striker Patrick Nyarko and deposited it in the upper-90 in the 84th minute for the series winner.
RSL will head to Toyota Park next weekend with the Eastern Conference berth in MLS Cup on the line. For those of you who do not recall, RSL’s lone trip to Chicago this year saw a hard-fought contest won 1-0 by the Fire courtesy of a Nyarko strike late in the second half.
It should be a great match next weekend. Keep checking back here for some previews of the action…

Here we go!
Is there a organized group going to Chicago for the game? Bus, plane, details?
This is going to be a fun one. I am glad to play at Chicago over New England, one word, grass.
Chicago had a good crowd against NE and it will only be better this next game. Hope to see some RSL supporters make the trip.
Blanco vs Javi & Andy… gonna be epic
