U.S. Women Take on Mexico March 31 in Sandy

Thanks to ISI Photos and U.S. Soccer for the pic above of U.S. WNT striker extraordinaire Abby Wambach.
We’ve said it once before, but this time we mean it … the U.S. Women’s National Team will make its Rio Tinto Stadium debut on March 31, when the ladies in Red, White & Blue will host CONCACAF rival Mexico in Sandy for a 7:00 p.m. MT kick (live on ESPN2). Tickets for the U.S. WNT’s first visit to Utah since 2003 start at just $18 and will be available to the general public this Friday, Feb. 12 at 10:00 a.m. MT. 2010 RSL Season Ticket Holders will be able to snag their seats before then during a special 16-hour pre-sale for RSL “Fans for Life” beginning Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m.
The USA Women were all set to make their Rio Tinto Stadium debut last May, only to have its opponent, Japan, back out of a proposed two-game stay in the United States due to the H1N1 flu virus scare. But this time the Yanks are coming, so make sure you get decked out in all of the patriotic splender you displayed last September when the U.S. MNT came to town and show U.S. Soccer why Utah is the place to be for its National Teams! Head over to www.RealSaltLake.com for the full details.

Good job getting this game. I would love to go. Unfortunately, I can’t due to school and travel distance since the game is on a Wednesday.
I hope to see more of these kind of events in the future.
$18? really?
Dont get me wrong, the women’s team is great… but I am not going to pay more for them than I would RSL. Its the women’s national team, not the men’s…
Amen 15 to 32. Tickets are too much! It should draw a crowd as large as an Open Cup game.
Got my tix!
