Afternoon Notes: Findley Makes the Cut, Johnson Talks on KALL 700 @ 4:40
Some afternoon tidbits to tide you over for the end of your workday …
- Props to Mr. Robert Findley (we’re feeling proper today!) on being named to the U.S. Men’s National Team squad that will travel to Amsterdam to square off against a powerhouse Holland side next Wednesday, Mar. 3 (12:30 pm MT, live on ESPN2 and Galavision). Robbie’s one of only three MLS-based players on the 20-man side, so you can continue to speculate as to what that means for his chances to make the eventual squad that will represent the U-S-of-A in South Africa in 105 days (in a related note … ONLY 105 DAYS TO GO!!!).
- Dying for some preseason player perspective from Casa Grande? Then you’re in luck at 4:40 pm this afternoon, which is when midfielder Will Johnson will dial into the KALL 700 Sports Hotline for an interview with Bill Riley and Spencer Checketts on their appropriately-named “Bill & Spence Show.” So turn that knob to 700 on your AM radio dial (or press the handy preset button) or tune in online via the miracle of technology that is www.KALL700Sports.com to check out what Will has to say!

I hope Findley can get a goal for us.
I love it! Will Johnson sheepishly rips on Bill & Spence for not knowing anything about international soccer! Very funny segment (about 3/4 of the way through). Also, Will’s right, we’ve got tons of work to do as a team. Losing to Vancouver is embarrassing. They need to defend the royalty of this club every time they step on the field! Otherwise great interview…and nice to not have a strike looming “directly” over us anymore.
Congratulations Findley,
Hope you can shine in Holland.
i am going to be going down to watch the game what it the physical address of the game
Hey ajr-
Address of the Francisco Grande Resort is 2684 Gila Bend Hwy … essentially take the main road in Casa Grande five miles west of town and look for the 10-story hotel in the middle of nowhere! Fields are behind the hotel about 100 yards … should be able to take a drive back to the parking lot right next to the fields. Enjoy!
