A Real Home Field Advantage…
You think Real Salt Lake is happy to be sleeping in their own beds, hosting this weekend’s Western Conference Finals? Of course they are! Check out this great piece below from Park City TV and get the lowdown on the Rio Tinto Stadium and why the guys are so proud to call it home…

Great stuff.
Didn’t think I would say this, but BRING THE BAGPIPER BACK!!!
Is the grass damaged from the rugby matches?
so, after the game the players don’t go to baxters anymore? what do they do? or where do they go?
People have said the grass is fine after the rugby match. Should be a great game. Awesome stadium!
If you ask me….the new stadium has totally disconnected us from the players. They never come over to the supporters section to celebrate a goal, or a win, or just to say thanks anymore. They dont come out through the crowd to sign autographs after the game. They dont go out to a place like Baxters (not that I like Baxters) after the game to be around the fans because they have their own little party in a room in the stadium. One of the reasons the supporters agreed to move to the south goal was that we were told the players would still come and appreciate us….that has not happened. And even when there were a hundred of us in LA the last game and we won…only Borchers came over and thanked us!
I love the new stadium and I love our boys, I just dont like how things have changed in this way. We have been there through the hard times, and there have been many of those the last four years.
AND our stadium is NOT called THE MINE. That sucks. We all need to RIOT into Stadium on Saturday and cheer our boys onto another win!
ANYONE? so now that Baxters has closed where do the players go? will there be an after place for this game? please say yes! anyone
That was funny to hear Rimando call it “The U” like he’s been living in Utah his whole life.
thanks rslfutbolfan for that update. and i agree with you 100 percent. i think they should throw a big party for all the fans with the players so we can feel appreciated
The stadium is awesome! I have been to two games so far. Thank you for the seat backs.
