Fans of the English game are in for a treat this weekend as Premier League powers Manchester United and Chelsea are set to square off in Manchester on Sunday morning. A matchup that has become one of the game’s most thrilling fixtures since Roman Abramovich purchased the Blues and pushed them to the top of the table financially, this weekend’s showdown shouldn’t dissapoint. With both teams hot on the heels of table-toppers Liverpool, Sunday could allow one team to take a big step towards a title run in the second half of the campaign. Chelsea currently sit in 2nd place, three points adrift of the leaders through 20 matches, United meanwhile sit another four points back, but they have a massive two games in hand.

If the Red Devils can pull out a home victory (where they are currently 7-0-1 on the season) they would close the gap with Chelsea to just a single point while retaining their two game cushion. United will certainly be out for blood in this one.

Chelsea, on the other hand, would have to take some satisfaction if they could simply avoid defeat on the defending champs’ home soil. They are certainly capable seeing as they boast one of the world’s most talented lineups and sport a very impressive 8-0-2 road record on the current league campaign.

The match kicks off at 9:00 a.m. MT on Sunday morning and will be televised live on Fox Soccer Channel.
